“This Is What a Feminist Looks Like”

Grandchild Killed for $435

With forged note in hand, Renee’s boyfriend took her to Northside. Cook [boyfriend’s mother] had given them the $435 needed for the “procedure.” No one at the clinic asked for ID or sought to confirm if Renee’s parents were aware of what she was about to go through. Renee was terrified, she testified, saying she only agreed to visit the abortion clinic to appease Cook. She thought a nurse would ask if this is what she wanted, giving her an option out. That never happened. Instead, she was given anesthesia and woke up to immediate, and profound, regret. Those emotions stay with her to this day.

Proponents of a culture of death mask their true agenda with the guise of a “woman’s right to choose.” In this case, a girl, not a woman, was not given that choice – nor was she protected by a law intended to shield her from having to make such a difficult choice on her own. …

The Party of King: The Republican Party

On the 45th Anniversary of MLK’s “I Have a Dream Speech,” it might be surprising to remember that Dr. King, Jr. was a Republican.  MLK’s niece also verfies this fact and further explains that resistance most often came from Democrats:

No one batted an eye when President Kennedy opposed the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King. Hardly a ripple of protest was uttered when President Kennedy, through his brother Attorney General Robert Kennedy, had Dr. King wiretapped and investigated on suspicion of being a Communist.

Barack Obama’s acceptance speech tonight will be and is an historic event. But the great irony is that the Republican administrations since the days of Abraham Lincoln through the modern Civil Rights Movement have significantly helped make the first presidential nominee acceptance speech by an African American possible—even though it’s for the Democratic Party.

“Marriage” Means Something

Ellen’s position is that marriage only between a man and a woman violates her inalienable or Constitutional rights or her right to pursue happiness. But this is simply not the case. Gays and Lesbians have NEVER been denied the right to marriage in America based on sexual orientation! (That I am aware of.) Any man, gay or straight, can marry any other woman gay or straight. This has always been the law and the case as long as those individuals have met the other requirements for marriage such as consent, age and not being genetically related, etc.

Just show me one instance of a man wishing to marry a woman either of whom were denied the right to marry each other because either one or both were homosexual. Continue reading

Now Showing in a non-Islamic Country Near You

Conservemus posted a short film for us to watch in two 7 minute parts.  It’s officially been pulled according his post, but still available to view for now.  This courageous short documentary-type piece by filmmaker and Dutch politician, Geert Wilders is called FITNA, and many Islamic people around the world are furious.  But the film is powerful because it shows the radical extremists speaking from their own mouths and acting out of the hatred spread among them.  If you are so inclined: CLICK HERE for Paul’s post.

I was hesitant to watch the clips, but at some point we Americans must confront the ugly truth of radical Islam and jihadists.  I cannot emphasize enough McCain’s strength of leadership in dealing with the reality of what we as a nation face from Islamic extremists.  This is also a strong reminder that America is in the midst of spiritual warfare as real as any war and that Christian Americans must continue to pray for wisdom for ourselves, our nation, and our leaders in this age of global extremism.
